At some point we have to understand that we do not need to carry a story that is unbearable.

There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all of time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium, and be lost. The world will not have it.

It is not your business to determine how good it is, nor how valuable, nor how it compares with other expressions. It is your business to keep it yours, clearly and directly, to keep the channel open.

You do not even have to believe in yourself or your work. You have to keep open and aware directly to the urge that motivates you.

Keep the channel open.

Home: About

I have a Ph.D. from Pacifica Graduate Institute, a depth psychology  program. My dissertation was on dreams during pregnancy. I received a Masters in Counseling from Portland State University. I focused on sexuality and gender in adults - offering individual work and focus on relationships, using a neo-psychoanalytic perspective. My bachelor's degree was in English literature and I was a poet at the University of Iowa's undergraduate writer's workshop. I am licensed as a professional counselor in Colorado and Oregon and as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in Vermont. I offer dream analysis in addition to regular psychotherapy. I love working with creative types, the wounded feminine and misunderstood masculine, all queer-identifying community, and with other healers; those with a strong spiritual path.

RELATIONAL COUNSELING

I work with love and its absence.

I specialize in sexuality, pregnancy, the body, and analyzing dreams.

I often work with those who seek a creative path.

I use a process of offering Freudian "free associations" with Jungian active imagination

(to integrate the subconscious with conscious material.)

Surprise me with the depths of the unknown.

The invisible is welcome here.

She had horses who called themselves, "horse."
She had horses who called themselves, "spirit." and kept their voices secret and to themselves.
She had horses who had no names.
She had horses who had books of names.

...

These were the same horses.
